The Opportunity

As the Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the Americas, you will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive sales and business development strategy, establishing and nurturing high-impact partnerships, and collaborating with internal TMT stakeholders to build and maintain client relationships. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the media & entertainment landscape, specifically in content distribution, digital supply chain management, and cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities

Evangelize & Grow: Support the continued growth of TMT’s client-base by driving business development efforts to identify net new opportunities as well as encourage growth within new sectors of the industry ie. non-traditional “media” ie. Travel, hospitality, advertising, fitness, music etc.

  • Strategic Sales Leadership
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the Americas targeting media companies, streaming platforms, and content distributors.
    • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, designing solutions that address key customer challenges within digital media supply chain.
    • Establish quarterly and annual revenue targets, working closely with executive leadership to achieve and exceed company goals.
    • Collaborate closely with UK/EMEA counterpoint to ensure alignment on key positioning and strategic opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders across large media and entertainment companies, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client business objectives and positioning the company as an indispensable partner in digital media workflows.
    • Oversee contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring favorable terms that align with company goals.

Business Development & Partnerships: You’ll work with the collective TMT team (product, engineering, support etc.) to work backwards from the client or industry demands to identify and pursue strategic supply chain opportunities. These strategic supply chain opportunities can include but are not limited to digital innovation, product innovation, large-scale migrations, workflow reengineering, data and analytics, operational change management, and business agility. You’ll provide support to these opportunities via several mechanisms including business case assessments, TCO analysis, and industry solutions. 

  • Identify & Align on Strategic Opportunities:
    • Drive strategic alliances and partnerships with technology vendors, cloud service providers, and media platforms to enhance the company’s market presence and value proposition.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft mutually beneficial agreements with potential partners, focusing on long-term growth and innovation.
    • Identify new product and service opportunities to address industry trends and customer needs.
    • Contribute to TMT Insights internal operations and go-to-market strategies. Where applicable, help to develop, roll out and support internal and external marketing efforts through thought leadership initiatives and evangelist activities. 

Market Intelligence & Industry Expertise: To support and advance the client’s business, technical and operational goals, you’ll work hand in hand with the client to support the analysis and recommendation for the solutions required to support their vision while encouraging continued servicing from TMT for the implementation, ongoing operationalization and support of the solutions recommended.

  • Pre-Sales/Solutioning
    • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes, providing insights that shape the company’s offerings and sales approach.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and thought leadership forums, building brand recognition and authority.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing relationships and strategic partnerships with 3rd parties such as SDVI, Signiant, Embrace, Vidispine etc. to grow the TMT book of business and identify net new opportunities that encourage TMT’s client base as well as expansion into new sectors of the industry
  • a thought leader that acts as a trusted client advisor ensuring all TMT teams are working together effectively to deliver transformational outcomes for the client
  • partnering with client leaders and their respective engineering, product, and operations teams to help strategize and manage their supply chain journey
  • help Media & Entertainment organizations understand best practices around adopting advanced cloud-based solutions, to support migration & transformation projects
  • You will establish a deep understanding of your client’s business vision, culture and processes, and evangelize TMT services & additional 3rd party technologies and influence clients to adopt the right solution at the right time
  • You will leverage your delivery experience with large scale transformations and help shepherd clients through their stages accelerating their ability to solve challenges through new ideas, tools and mechanisms
  • You will serve as the client’s supply chain modernization journey coach and be the voice of the client within TMT, evangelizing client needs to TMT leadership, product, and engineering teams
